- Install Package
1. Go to the USPS AppExchange Listing
To install, begin by going to the Salesforce AppExchange and finding the Shipmate – USPS for Salesforce listing. You can find the app through Search or by clicking this link.
2. Click 'Get it Now'
Click on the Get It Now button and select the desired destination. Shipmate – USPS for Salesforce can be installed in both Sandbox and Production instantly. Click Continue.
3. Login to the AppExchange
You will be asked to enter your Salesforce username and password. In order to install any AppExchange package, you must either be a Salesforce Administrator or have the Download AppExchange Packages permission on your user profile. If neither is applicable, please contact your Salesforce Administrator to install this app.
Once you have entered your Salesforce username and password, you will see the Confirm Installation page. After reading, confirm by checking I have read and agree to the terms & conditions, then click Install. You will have to verify your password one more time.
4. Approve Package API Access
You will then see a page to review all of the components that will be installed into your org. Click Continue to proceed.
In order to integrate with USPS, Shipmate must add a remote site setting to your Salesforce org, allowing safe communication between the two companies.
Check Yes, grant access to these third-party websites and click Continue.
5. Choose Security Level (not required for Group and Professional Edition customers)
Select Grant access to all users, then click Next
Note: It is important to select this so all Shipmate Visualforce Pages and Apex Classes are enabled for all Profiles. You will still be able to control who has access to Shipmate.
6. Install Package
Click Install to continue
Installation may take a few minutes, and you will receive an email notification once complete. Once installed successfully, click to configure the app.
These post-installation steps are required.
Note: You can install Shipmate into the Sandbox Environment if you would like to test it out first.
