In order to setup scheduled tracking, you must have at least one shipment already created in Shipmate. Read the create a shipment guide here. 

The scheduled tracking jobs need to be created by a user that has a Shipmate license. If for any reason the licence gets reassigned then the scheduled tracking would need to be recreated.

You have two options to track.

  1. You can open any shipment record and click the Track Shipment button.
  2. You can configure Schedule Tracking and let Shipmate get you the latest tracking updates automatically.

1. Setup

To setup Schedule Tracking, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the FedEx Shipments tab.
  2. Click the Schedule Tracking button.
  3. Define a Start and End Time.
  4. Define a Frequency.
  5. Select the Days you want the automatic track to occur.
  6. Click Save.

Please Note

If you click Save and receive the following message:

The maximum number of Apex Jobs has already been scheduled. If you would like to schedule Shipment Tracking, you must first delete at least one scheduled job. Please go to 'Setup | Administration Setup | Monitoring | Scheduled Jobs' to look at the currently scheduled jobs.

2. Delete Scheduled Tracking

To delete Schedule Tracking, follow the steps below:

  1. You must be a System Administrator to perform this task.
  2. After you have saved your Schedule Tracking, a new button will appear on the page allowing you to view your scheduled jobs.
  3. Navigate to the FedEx Shipments tab.
  4. Click the Schedule Tracking button.
  5. Click the Go To Scheduled Jobs button. You can also go to Scheduled Jobs by navigating to Setup | Monitoring | Scheduled Jobs.
  6. Click Del on the job named Shipmate Track Shipment.

3. Edit Scheduled Tracking

To edit Schedule Tracking, follow the steps below:

  1. To edit and change your Schedule Tracking, you must first delete the old schedule.
  2. You must be a System Administrator to perform this task.
  3. After you have saved your Schedule Tracking, a new button will appear on the page allowing you to view your scheduled jobs.
  4. Navigate to the FedEx Shipments tab.
  5. Click the Schedule Tracking button.
  6. Click the Go To Scheduled Jobs button. You can also go to Scheduled Jobs by navigating to Setup | Monitoring | Scheduled Jobs.
  7. Click Del on the job named Shipmate Track Shipment.
  8. Navigate to the FedEx Shipments tab.
  9. Click the Schedule Tracking button.
  10. Define a Start and End Time.
  11. Define a Frequency.
  12. Select the Days you want the automatic track to occur.
  13. Click Save
